Why Dan?

Daniel Meltzer, MD, MPH, FACEP
Professional Coach | Leadership Consultant

With nearly twenty years of experience on the front-line of humanity as an emergency physician, coach and C-suite business leader, Dan has “been there and done that.”  Avoiding difficult situations and conversations has not been an option.

In order to stay healthy and effective, Dan has had to learn and integrate skills and systems to not only optimize his performance, but that of those he has coached or lead – hundreds of professionals and executives from across the country.

How can one stay healthy and serve others without feeling depleted?  It requires the same degree of expertise and specificity which we bring to our work every day.  And it hasn’t always, been easy. Dan has had his ups and downs too –personally, professionally, physically and emotionally. Through decades of education, experience and careful cultivation he has been able to continuously serve others, “thrive”  and “lean-in” with intentional and comprehensive practices.

Dan has helped thousands of patients and hundreds of professionals learn new skills, feel and do better.  He doesn’t pretend to have all the answers, but rather to stay curious and ask the right questions.

Effective, efficient and no BS; just honest, thoroughly curated and cultivated evidenced-based expertise – working for and with you!

How it works?

We integrate expertise in neuroscience, anatomy physiology, psychology and principles of adult learning with carefully curated insights from the world’s wisdom traditions and highly-relevant contemporary thought leaders.  This is not a one size fits none approach but rather a tailored and comprehensive one that is personal and compelling for you.

1:1 sessions with Dan – on the phone, in person, even at the gym or location most germane to you.  You will address what matters most your physical and psychological well-being and the thoughts and feelings that represent both challenges and opportunities.  We will cover practical skills for your health and move through them in structured and deliberate ways, across the scope of your job, family, self and relationships.

We have found that 45 minutes is the “sweet spot” for a session. One where both parties are fully engaged and that allows for some spill-over or transition time if needed. Also, Dan is available between your scheduled 1:1 sessions and will likely be in contact with you checking in, sending personalized words of encouragement or support.

While Dan leverages his medical expertise and can serve as a medical advisor for certain situations or conditions if needed, he is not here to replace your personal physician nor to prescribe medications.
